Alex Ross and Adam Hughes are officially offering their talents to new CGC submissions! The pair of talented artists will be offering signings in a new private in-house arrangement with the grading company - and we’re happy to share that CaptCan Comics is giving a chance for readers and customers to get their books signed by the comic book legends. Ross and Hughes are available for signings in 2023, so those wanting to get their books signed will soon be able to do so.
Alex Ross is one of the most prolific and acclaimed artists and writers in the comic book medium, whose work on Marvels, Kingdom Come, Astro City, and Justice are among his most storied work. Ross, best known for his painted realism style, is a ten-time Eisner Award winner, with numerous wins for best painter/multimedia artist and best cover artist. In 2022, Ross released Fantastic Four: Full Circle, which saw the creator tackle Marvel’s first family in a classic sci-fi story.
Meanwhile, Adam Hughes is best known for his Marvel, DC Comics, and major publisher cover art. He has drawn some of the most popular comic covers for over a decade and a half. While Hughes has done interiors for books like JLA, Before Watchmen: Doctor Manhattan, and 52, his cover art, specifically his pinups of female heroes and characters including Power Girl, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Batgirl are among the most recognizable in his storied career.
Alex Ross and Adam Hughes are both offering signings, with CaptCan Comics accepting submissions of books to make it easier for Canadian submitters. The CGC private signing fee is $133.99 for Adam Hughes (Due Mar 15), $179.99 for Alex Ross (Due Mar 22). Each comic will be encapsulated with a yellow CGC Signature Series Label.
