PRESSING + CLEANING
Pressing is a highly technical practice done to improve the condition and value of books. Non colour breaking defects such as wrinkles, bends and rolled spines can be improved. We offer pressing in house at:
• $15 per book valued up to $1000
• $30 per book valued up to $2500
• 2% of FMV on books over $2500.
Cleaning can make your books look new and improve the grade of your books by removing non permanent soiling such as colour transfer, pencil marks, and dirt. We offer cleaning in house for:
• $25 per book valued up to $1000
• $50 per book valued up to $2500
• 3% of FMV on books over $2500.
Please note for grading that if your submission book requires customs for delivery to us you will be invoiced for these fees.
PLEASE NOTE A PRE-SALE CAN NOT BE SUBMITTED FOR A CGC SUBMISSION UNTIL IT IS IN YOUR HOLD BOX! ALL PRE-SALE SUBMISSIONS THAT ARE YET TO BE RELEASED WILL BE REJECTED!
IF SUBMITTING FOR CGC FROM HOLD BOX PLEASE WAIT 3 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER SUBMITTING TO SHIP YOUR HOLD BOX. THIS WILL GUARANTEE YOUR BOOK HAS BEEN RECIEVED INTO OUR GRADING SECTION.
PLEASE NOTE THE CURRENT TURNAROUND TIME FOR PRESSING SUBMISSIONS IS 4-6 WEEKS.
BEFORE AND AFTER
GRADE BUMPS
A good press can also improve the grade on a comic. We have cracked open many graded books and re-submitted them after pressing to receive a higher grade.
