Doctor Strange rises again in a brand-new series!

Stephen Strange returns in a brand-new series that sees Doctor Strange rise again! In Doctor Strange #1 by Jed MacKay (Strange, Moon Knight) and Pasqual Ferry (Spider-Man: The Spider’s Shadow), Stephen Strange is back as Sorcerer Supreme as he makes his long-awaited return as Marvel’s main master of mystic arts. However, Strange’s return won’t come without its challenges, as the hero quickly learns there’s no time to rest for the formerly dead Avenger.
Doctor Strange was murdered in the recent Death of Doctor Strange miniseries, as his longtime love Clea became the new Sorcerer Supreme of Earth in his absence. However, Stephen Strange made a surprise return as the Harvestman, working alongside Death to take down revenants brought back to life by the Blasphemy Cartel. After defeating the Revenant Prime, a version of Sentry powered by one hundred million undead ghosts, Strange was freed from his obligation to Death and officially returned to his usual form and role. Now, with the Sorcerer Supreme in charge, the hero will be thrown back into action in a new series.
In Strange #1 by Jed MacKay and Pasqual Ferry, Stephen Strange reunites with Clea and Wong and resumes his duties as the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth. Strange will be faced with new magical threats and oddities but will run across someone taking “dark justice” on his foes, leading him on an interdimensional quest for answers. Doctor Strange #1 features two variant covers from superstar Alex Ross. The standard cover showcases the hero in a magical pose with Clea close by his side. The Timeless variant cover by Ross features his longtime villain Dormammu, as part of the artists newest cover series starring the greatest villains in the Marvel Universe.
Doctor Strange #1 represents another big title for Marvel from MacKay, as the Canadian-born writer has tackled some of the publisher’s most critically acclaimed books, from Moon Knight, Mary Jane & Black Cat, and Timeless. MacKay (alongside collaborator C.F. Villa) will tackle the next installment of the Avengers as Jason Aaron and Javier Garron’s run on the book soon comes to an end. Considering his excellent track record, his newest Doctor Strange series should be another exciting read.
