G.I. Joe's Exciting New Chapter Begins with New #1 From Skybound Comics

The Energon Universe is one of the most exciting initiatives in comics, with the worlds of Transformers, G.I. Joe, and the new Void Rivals colliding for Skybound Comics. Now that the world is more established, the publisher is going big with its next release as a new G.I. Joe series launches from fan-favorite creators Joshua Williamson, Tom Reilly, and Jordie Bellaire.
In G.I. Joe #1, Duke (Conrad Hauser) will assemble a new team to take on the challenges of Transformers touching down on Earth. However, the Cobra Commander will be a considerable obstacle as he will use the full power of Energon to his own advantage! For longtime fans of the original G.I. Joe franchise, there will be several recognizable faces joining the battle as the Energon Universe soars to new heights.
The much-anticipated comic launches with a ton of cool covers, including a team shot featuring the heroes of the universe as the main cover from Reilly and Bellaire. Open-order covers include ones from Jerome Opena, Brett Booth, David Finch, Lee Bermejo, Sozomaika, Jenny Frison, a blank sketch variant, and an Andrea Milana Cobra Commander die-cut variant. Incentive variants include a David Nakayama variant starring the Baronness (1:10), a 1:25 variant from Jeff Spokes, a 1:50 foil variant from E.J. Sue, a 1:100 spoiler variant by Jonboy Meyers, a 1:250 card stock variant from Reilly, as well as a 1:500 black and white variant from Finch.
