Kael Ngu is bringing his awesome style to the world of Spawn, with eight brand-new variant covers coming to different titles throughout September. Ngu, who has done some incredible cover work in the past for Marvel, including some impressive pieces for Invincible Iron Man and Ghost Rider, debuted the different covers, which feature some of the most recognizable and badass characters from the Spawn Universe.
Ngu’s cover for Spawn #346 by Rory McConville and Carlo Barberi features the titular character screaming with fire surrounding him. The cover art will be available with trade dressing and an alternate cover without the text and a lighter background.
The race for the Throne of Hell has begun. Forces and factions from all sides are starting to close in, and Spawn is starting to doubt who he can trust. But without his allies, there is no way he will survive!
NGU’s variant cover for The Scorched #22 by Sean Lewis and Stephen Segovia features She-Spawn holding a massive weapon. The cover will be available in color and a black, white, and fire variant.
The Scorched team battles for their lives against Terminus and the Planet Eaters with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.
In his King Spawn cover, Ngu draws the character wielding a massive sword, as he’s ready to cause some significant pain to anyone standing in his way. King Spawn #26 by Sean Lewis and Javi Fernandez will also feature a color variant to Ngu’s variant cover.
Clown is back on the streets of New York City, but it’s not Al he’s hunting. Who is Clown after, and can Spawn save them in time?
Last but not least, Ngu’s variant for Gunslinger Spawn #24 by Todd McFarlane and Brett Booth features one of the coolest versions of Spawn doing what he does best, wielding a revolver while striking a menacing pose while standing over someone he’s taken out. The color variant for the issue is available as cover C.
The Gunslinger still has a sickness coursing through his veins—one that may kill him if he can’t figure out who or what is causing it!
For those wanting to pick up Ngu’s eight variants for the different Spawn series, they are available for pre-order now on CaptCan Comics. Each issue comes at the standard price, so there are no incentive variants that will be costlier than usual to collect the set.
