Luck & Strategy: MJ & Black Cat's Thrilling New Series!

In comics, few team-ups are as fun as seeing Mary Jane Watson and Felicia Hardy’s Black Cat put aside their differences and kick some butt together. Now, with MJ getting her Jackpot powers, she’s teaming up with Black Cat again in a new limited series that will put the duo up against a classic Spider-Man villain.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Mary Jane Watson is currently a hero in the Marvel Universe, becoming Jackpot in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man. After acquiring a Jackpot bracelet while in an alternate dimension with Paul Rabin (we don’t talk about Paul), MJ gained temporary random, luck-based powers, like a slot machine. Now, she’s working with someone who thrives around giving bad luck to her enemies in Black Cat in the aptly named Jackpot & Black Cat, where Jackpot will find herself getting into the shady business of her crimefighting compadre.
With the two stunning leading ladies in the series, Marvel Comics is releasing some sweet covers fans of Mary Jane Watson and Black Cat will want to pick up. The main cover from Adam Hughes shows off the beauty of the two characters as they perch in front of a Daily Bugle sign. Elizabeth Torque draws a stunning Black Cat variant, also available as a 1:00 virgin variant, featuring the thief stealing diamonds. Emilio Laiso draws the two titular characters with smiles on their faces. Pablo Villalobos draws gorgeous renditions of Black Cat and Jackpot in his cover art. Greg and Tim Hildebrandt draw a magnificent art of a Black Cat leaping across the night sky, also available as the 1:50 virgin variant. Additional covers come from Junngeun Yoon, who draws Jackpot striking a pose (available as a 1:100 variant), and another variant from Joey Vazquez featuring both characters. Sean Galloway is doing a Saturday Morning cartoon variant featuring Black Cat, Jackpot, and Spider-Man. Check out the Hildenbrandt’s variant below.
