Mark Brooks is bringing his artistic talents to the world of Spawn, as the fan-favorite artist revealed a series of new interconnecting variant covers that combine into one of the ultimate images featuring the characters from Todd McFarlane’s renowned comic book universe. For fans of Spawn, the connecting variant covers represent the perfect marriage between artist and property, as Brooks’ style brings several versions of Spawn to life with great details in the impressive overarching image.
Mark Brooks is one of the most prolific cover artists in comics, as his work for Marvel, DC, and other publishers has led to him becoming one of the most in-demand creators in the industry. Brooks’ use of realism in the superhero world has led to some incredible pieces from the artist, as his covers for issues of the X-Men, Black Widow, AXE: Judgment Day, and more are often among the hottest books on the stands.
Up next, Brooks is tackling a significant interconnecting cover for Spawn.
On his Twitter account, Brooks revealed he was taking over the cover duties on all the Spawn titles in April. He tweeted out multiple images that make one interconnected image featuring the large cast of characters from the Spawn universe, which includes heroes, villains, and everything in between from the Image Comics comic. The image features everyone from Spawn, Gunslinger Spawn, Violator, the Redeemer, She-Spawn, Twitch Williams, Medieval Spawn, and many more familiar faces. Check out the images that make up the incredible cover below.

The connecting covers will come out on different Spawn books throughout April. Beginning with Spawn #341, the images will appear on King Spawn #21, Gunslinger Spawn #19, and The Scorched #17.
Spawn’s longevity in the comic book industry has been one of legendary artist Todd McFarlane’s most impressive feats in his storied career. The comic was first released in 1992 by Image Comics, with the titular character quickly becoming a mainstream success. Spawn got several spinoff projects, including a 1997 live-action film and an HBO animated series lasting three seasons - as well as lines of action figures, which helped launch McFarlane Toys.
In the past couple of years, McFarlane has expanded the world of Spawn with three new titles, The Scorched, King Spawn, and Gunslinger Spawn, while also penning a Batman/Spawn one-shot with longtime collaborator Greg Capullo. There have been rumblings of a new live-action Spawn film for some time, as Jamie Foxx and Jeremy Renner have both been attached to the project McFarlane has been hopeful of directing himself - but no official production cycle has been revealed.
