Jango Fett’s legacy continues at Marvel Comics with the fan-favorite Star Wars bounty hunter starring in a brand-new miniseries taking a closer look at some previously unseen adventures.
In 2024, Marvel Comics will spotlight three iconic Star Wars characters for brand-new stories. Star Wars: Thrawn Alliances by Timothy Zahn, Jody Houser, Andrea Di Vito, and Pat Olliffe will adapt the infamous book of the same name and provide a closer look at Grand Admiral Thrawn’s team-up alongside Darth Vader. Meanwhile, Star Wars: Mace Windu by Marc Bernardin and Georges Jeanty will feature the Jedi trying to stop a new scientific discovery from falling into the wrong hands. In Star Wars: Jango Fett, the titular bounty hunter will go on a potentially lucrative but very dangerous mission filled with high stakes and political intrigue. Ethan Sacks and Luke Ross are working together on the book, which gives readers a new story about the Mandalorian whose genetic signature would be used to create an entire clone army. Fett will be joined by expert Star Wars sniper Aurra Sing.
The main cover art for Jango Fett #1 comes from Leinil Francis Yu and Nolan Woodard and features a closer look at the titular character. Aka is drawing a Women’s History Month variant set in the Star Wars universe. Derrick Chew shows off Jango Fett’s armor in a stunning variant. Additionally, a yet-to-be-revealed movie variant will take a moment from the Star Wars prequels. David Marquez’s 1:25 variant features Sing wielding one of her long weapons in front of the sunset. Lastly, the 1:100 variant is Chew’s cover without the trade dressing. Check out Yu and Woodard’s cover below.
