Power Girl's Fresh Arc: New Identity, Powers, and Threats!

Power Girl’s new ongoing series from DC Comics is set to explore the powerful Kryptonian’s story in all-new ways. The Kara Zor-L of Earth-2 has long been a fan-favorite hero who has played key parts in the adventures of the Justice Society of America, the Justice League, and the All-Star Squadron. In a new comic from Leah Williams, Eduardo Pansica, Julie Ferreira, Romulo Fajardo Jr., and Becca Carey, Power Girl is getting an explosive new storyline that sees the hero adopt a new secret identity while her powers continue evolving.

Readers saw Power Girl during the Lazarus Planet event, where she adopted the new secret identity of Paige (a nod to her superhero initials of PG). While the Lazarus rains briefly gave her psychic powers, Power Girl’s new series will continue to show off her new ability of astral punching, as much like Marvel’s America Chavez, Paige can now create interdimensional doorways with her fists. But, as she tries to figure out what her old and new powers are capable of and adjusts to finding a new normal, Power Girl will have to deal with a new threat trying to stop her and Superman. No problem, right? Wrong.

With Power Girl covers continually being among some of the most popular DC Comics has released since the character's debut, they are rolling out the red carpet when it comes to artists for “Power Girl” #1. Gary Frank and Brad Anderson, Ariel Diaz, Jonboy Meyers, Maika Sozo, Warren Louw, Ivan Talavera, Natalie Sanders, and Nathan Szerdy contributed variants for the first issue. Meanwhile, Otto Schmidt’s 1:25 wraparound cover features the many different looks of Power Girl. Frank Cho’s 1:50 cover features Power Girl looking at her new coat while wearing her iconic costume. Warren Louw’s 1:100 cover features a closer look at his standard variant, showing the hero floating in the air happily.

POWER GIRL STARS IN HER OWN EPIC ONGOING SERIES! Pretty, punchy, and powerful! After the events of Knight Terrors, a long-dormant Kryptonian threat has returned to take down Superman and his family. Power Girl Special writer Leah Williams returns with artist Eduardo Pansica (SUPERGIRL) for an ongoing series of epic proportions!
