Relive Rogue's Epic Debut in Avengers Annual #10 Facsimile!

One of the most important heroes to debut in the pages of Avengers was the X-Men, Rogue, who made her first canon appearance in Avengers Annual #10. Now, more than four decades after the issue was initially printed, a new facsimile edition lets readers experience the iconic story for the first time.
Avengers Annual #10 by Chris Claremont, Michael Golden, Armando Gil, Michael Golden, and Joe Rosen was a king-sized issue featuring some of the most popular heroes in the Marvel Universe. From the main Avengers team featuring Thor, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Wonder Man, the issue also features an iconic storyline of Rogue debuting and nearly murdering Carol Danvers, with the (at the time) villainous character stealing the memories of the usual Ms. Marvel. This issue marked the beginning of Rogue's journey, as she eventually switched sides, found a home among the X-Men, and transformed from a villain to a hero. But, the issue also showed the dark path the now-hero was once on, adding depth to her character.
Over the last four decades, Rogue has become a fan-favorite X-Men, one of its leaders, a perfect pairing with her fellow mutant Gambit, and a counted-on and essential member of the mutant superteam. In the present day, Rogue remains as relevant as ever, playing a vital role in the comics and on the small screen as a main character in X-Men ‘97 on Disney+. For those wanting to learn about her comic roots, the new issue allows everyone to dive into her origin and see her in action before she officially became an X-Man.
