Readers might be familiar with the Super Sons in Jon Kent and Damian Wayne. However, this February, get ready to meet a new villainous interpretation of the duo: The Sinister Sons.
Sinister Sons by Peter J. Tomasi and David Lafuente will follow two young characters with equally troubling father figures. Lor-Zod, the son of General Zod, will deal with being outcast from his home. Meanwhile, Sinson, the son of Sinestro, will look to prove he’s worthy of his villainous dad. The comic is a sinister twist on the beloved Super Sons franchise, and with Tomasi returning to write it, fans should get excited about the new book's storytelling potential.
Sinister Sons #1 features a main cover from Brad Walker, Andrew Hennessy, and Brad Anderson featuring Sinson duel-wielding Yellow Lantern rings, while Lor-Zod has an appropriate snarl on his face. Dan Mora’s variant shows the duo are wanted across the galaxy, as Damian and Jon are seen on a poster looking at the evildoers. Jamal Campbell’s variant features the heroes surfing across the cosmos. Meanwhile, Pete Wood’s acetate variant features the kids disguised in a single trench coat, with the page flip exposing them.
On the incentive side of things, Sinister Sons #1 features a 1:25 cover with a battle between Sinson and Lor-Zod and Green Lantern and Superman by V. Ken Marion, Danny Miki, and Prasad Rao. Meanwhile, Ramon Perez’s variant features the villains taking on some aliens in what appears to be a very tricky situation. CaptCan Comics will have all Incentives available for purchase upon release. Check out Perez’s cover below, followed by the text solicit.
