The latest film trilogy from the Star Wars Universe will finally get an adaptation of its closing chapter in 2025, as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #1 will take readers across the galaxy and back into the storyline of the third movie.
In the adaptation by Jody Houser and Will Sliney, the final battle for the galaxy between the Resistance and the First Order unfolds, with Rey leading the heroes against Kylo Ren and the dark side of the Force. The comic will showcase the epic war between good and evil and see Rey try not to be influenced by the latter as she learns more about her past.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #1 features main cover art by Phil Noto featuring Kylo Ren and the First Order. Meanwhile, Brian Stelfreeze's variant shows the heroes of the Resistance. An Emperor Palpatine variant comes from Jodie Muir, Ken Lashley's Black History Month variant features Lando Calrissian, and a fifth cover features a photo of Rey (Daisy Ridley) from the film.
