"The Bat-Man: First Knight": A Dark Knight Time Travel

Dan Jurgens and Mike Perkins are taking DC Comics readers back in time in their newest collaboration, “The Bat-Man: First Knight.” The three-issue miniseries will focus on the Dark Knight’s earliest adventures but tell some of his most iconic original stories through a new modern perspective.
Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and debuting in Detective Comics #27 back in 1939, Batman has become one of the most beloved figures in pop culture as the superhero detective and crime fighter is among the most recognizable comic book characters in existence. Originally referred to as The Bat-Man in his first appearance, the hero has always had his detective roots, remaining an integral part of his crimefighting persona. Now, more than 80 years after his debut, Batman’s beginnings are getting revisited.
“The Bat-Man: First Knight” showcases the Caped Crusader in 1939, with the world still feeling the impact of World War I. With fascism rising in its wake, Batman will be tasked with solving several murders. The hero will be tested by a changing world and try to prevent anyone else from dying by a mysterious new foe. The comic features some incredible covers that will be available at CaptCan Comics. Mike Perkins's main cover features a silhouette of Batman with his earliest adventures being seen inside. Ramon B. Perez’s variant features the hero being shone on by a spotlight. Mark Aspinall’s variant embraces the old-school pulp covers of the time. Lastly, Jacob Phillips's 1:25 incentive variant sees Batman investigating as a threat emerges from the shadows.
