The MCU's 'The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' Gets New Prequel Series

The Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man swings into action as a new five-issue miniseries launches from Marvel Comics in December! For those curious about the next animated adventures of the web-slinger, you won’t want to miss out on the prequel comic from Christos Cage and Eric Gapstur!
In the upcoming The Friendly Neighborhood television series, the animated show draws style inspiration from the earliest adventures of Spider-Man, with the art taking a page from Steve Ditko’s iconic work. However, the story will flip the MCU’s Spider-Man origin story on its head, focusing on an alternative universe where Peter Parker is mentored by Norman Osborn instead of Tony Stark. The show features a wide array of Marvel characters, including Tombstone, Nico Minoru, Daredevil, Amadeus Cho, and the villain, the Wizard. The new miniseries followed Peter Parker as he learns to be a hero, with the comic showing off his rise to becoming the famed web-slinger!
Leonardo Romero’s retro-inspired cover shows the hero in his costume swinging across New York City. Additionally, there will be two variants from The Friendly Neighborhood, including a variant with an artist yet to be revealed and a 1:25 variant that will be revealed later.
