Terminator is back in comic form, as a new series from Dynamite Comics will take readers back into the adventures of the iconic James Cameron-directed franchise! In 1984, James Cameron and Gale Anne Hurd’s The Terminator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular cybernetic android assassin, Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor, and Michel Biehn as Kyle Reese, was a major box office smash. Its sequel, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, upped the ante and put Schwarzenegger in the hero role. Since then, numerous sequels, TV shows, and comic books have followed up on the classic storyline. Now, Dynamite Comics is setting the course for the newest adventures, with Declan Shalvey, Sal Crivelli, and Luke Sparrow tackling the latest stories from the publisher.
The Terminator #1 will follow the fallout from the failed attempts at killing John and Sarah Connor, as Skynet will try a different strategy — sending Terminators across the world and time to take out anyone it believes is resisting its attempts at world domination. The series will breathe new life into the franchise and showcase stories never before seen! Dynamite Comics is loading up on covers for the series with Edwin Galmon, Joshua Swaby, David Cousens, and Alex Ross — all of which have incentive variants that include black and white, foil, and virgin variants.
