Ultimate Invasion: The Maker's Quest to Resurrect a Universe

The Maker is trying to bring the Ultimate Universe back to existence, with the sinister villain breaking free from containment and traveling across the Marvel Universe to steal its greatest technology.
In Ultimate Invasion #1 by Jonathan Hickman, Bryan Hitch, Andrew Currie, and Alex Sinclair from Marvel Comics, readers learn The Maker secretly replaced himself in imprisonment, allowing him to go free without anyone knowing. The Avengers eventually discovered the ruse, but not before The Maker (the Ultimate version of Reed Richards) broke into the Baxter Building to steal Earth-616’s Reed’s tech. The Maker didn’t stop there, going to Wakanda and stealing Vibranium, visiting the home of the Inhumans to steal Terrigen Spheres, plunging into the depths of Atlantis and stealing Atlantean tech, stealing a magical lance from the Sanctum Santorum, and somehow stealing an entire mutant Gateway to Krakoa.
With the Illuminati unable to figure out what The Maker was doing, the villain paid a visit to Miles Morales, the other lone survivor of the Ultimate Universe. He asks Spider-Man for a chance to return to his homeworld, which the web-slinger politely declines. With his missions on Earth-616 done, The Maker built a machine that would take him to a “someplace” he could call his own and “created as was intended.”
So, what was The Maker’s plan? The end of Ultimate Invasion sees him arriving at Earth-6160, a previously uncategorized world. While there, he intercepts the radioactive spider that is about to bite Peter Parker, stopping him from becoming Spider-Man and taking the arachnid for himself. It seems The Maker is creating a new Ultimate Universe where heroes never came into existence with the solicit for Ultimate Invasion #2 revealing “The Maker plans to make sure Earth’s Mightiest Heroes never become heroes at all. And then he can reshape the universe into exactly what he wants it to be…”
With Earth-1610 destroyed during the events of Secret Wars, The Maker is trying to create a new version of the Ultimate Universe where he reigns supreme in a world without heroes. Ultimate Invasion follows The Maker as he tries to undo some of the origins of the greatest heroes in the Multiverse. Can he be stopped by the Illuminati? Or is he destined to rule another world?
