Spinning out of the events of the most recent run on Iron Man, West Coast Avengers sees Tony Stark team up with several heroes — but among them is a surprise member as Ultron is somehow joining the ranks. But is the longtime villain friend or foe? That remains to be determined.
In West Coast Avengers #1 by Gerry Duggan and Danny Kim, Iron Man and War Machine are assembling an Avengers team like never before. Firestar, fresh off playing an important role in defeating Orchis, and Spider-Woman will be key parts of the team as they will be joined by Ultron. With the villain finding his way on the team, inner-turmoil is about to run rampant on whether he can actually be trusted or if he's planning something much more sinister.
West Coast Avengers #1 features main cover art from Ben Harvey showcasing the unlikely team. Adam Hughes' foil variant as well as Atergerm's cover both showcase Firestar — the latter which is available as a 1:100 incentive cover. Additional variants are coming from Ron Lim, Danny Kim, Joshua Cassara, and JeeHyung Lee. Gerardo Sandoval draws a Ultron variant which will be avaliable as a 1:25 variant.
